Neumann U87

Microphone Focus :

This is a serious studio microphone costing serious money. Used largely for broadcasting for vocals, spot mic for individual instruments (anything from wind and strings to percussion) or as a main microphone for recording orchestras. Originally introduced in 1967, the latest versions (U87 Ai) have the same capsule with updated circuitry. As can be seen in the illustration, the U87 comes with its' own elastic suspension harness. Summing up the U87, you can use this microphone for any job in the studio - if you can afford one, get one!
