LiVEWYRE Studio Putting your recordings onto a CD:

Your recordings can be converted into different digital formats and saved on a CDROM for you to use in a variety of different ways.

The most common requirement would be a CD format that will play in most conventional CD players. The recordings are stored high quality WAV format and are limited to 80 minutes play time per CD.

We can also supply a CD with an image and/or text specified by the client and burned onto the disc with 'lightscribe' technology, learn more about this on the pricing page.

You may require a different format:

You can store digital files in formats such as WMA (plays on your PC on Windows Media Player), MP3 (plays on your PC or MP3 player) or OGG VORBIS (select the 'MP3' link from the navigation bar for more information). If you want this type of file, your recordings will be stored on a CDROM for you to transfer to your player via your own PC. The files are smaller than WAV files so you can get many more tracks on this type of CDROM than on a conventional CD. This may be useful for archiving sound files, you can get more than a hundred MP3 tracks on a CDROM, and hundreds more on a DVDROM. Many CD and DVD players are able to play MP3 files, please specify in the 'notes' section of the submit form if you require an MP3 CD specifically to play in an MP3-enabled CD player.

LiVEWYRE Studio pricing is based on a conventional CD with up to around 16 x 5 minute tracks. The cost of the CD is small in comparison with the time spent doing the transfer and editing the files, therefore the client is charged per cassette sent rather than per CD ordered. If you would like a lot of tracks or a few very long tracks (recordings of performances or conferences etc...) stored on a CDROM or DVDROM for archive purposes contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
